Being a nurse practitioner has been the most rewarding career I have had. I have grown as an individual and learned a lot of lessons from mentors to great instructors in my nursing programs. My goals have evolved in the nursing profession where I started out as a staff nurse on a
cardiology unit to working as a family nurse practitioner in an outpatient clinic setting. I haven’t always wanted to be a writer, but since completing my masters and doctorate program in nursing, I have come to enjoy reading and writing evidence based research articles.
I earned my Masters Degree at University of Texas Health Science Center Houston and a doctorate from Duke University, North Carolina. I currently work as a Family Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient clinic. I currently teach Advanced Pharmacology in a nurse practitioner program and apply my extensive knowledge and educational background in the classroom to deliver pharmacological principles to ensure students gain complete mastery of concepts. My passion is helping advanced practitioners and students build confidence in learning excellent prescriptive habits. I am a follower of Christ and my world view is based on biblical principles.
